Amanita Design own composer Tomáš Dvořák (aka Floex) has released his second solo album - "Zorya". The album is exploring the sound between acoustic music (especially classical minimalism) and contemporary electronic. After just listen to the album once, I have to say it doesn't disappoint and is very pleasant to the ear!
Hailing from the Czech Republic Mr Dvořák is not only a composer and musician, but also a multimedia artist. He first catched my ear in 2009 when I came across the point-and-click puzzle game Machinarium. I played the demo of the game and liked it so much that I bought it, The download also included the soundtrack which I found it utterly amazing. I have probably never heard a better game soundtrack in my life!
Floex is currently working on the concert version of "Zorya" and the first performance was on the 27th of October at the Akropolis in Prague. The show will be based around the possibilities of monophonic instruments in a live setting. Sounds quite interesting in fact...
